Problem renaming admin folder - v1.38a

seems to be quicker since doing this;

1. When you DO log into the admin area, turn off version checking here:
Admin> Config> My Store> Show if version update available ... set this to 0/false/off


still no joy with logging in with shop/my_admin but does login with shop/my_admin/login.php so that is going to have to do.

Would be nice to find out why it wont log in like before without the login.php..... error messages just say file not found 404 from what i can make out but not fully clued up on it

I tried this with a different backup and still get the same problem, but I did notice that my backup included a module that should not of been on that backup so dont know how that got there?

I notice when I delete I always end up with a ftpquota file that can not be deleted, is this normal?

Very strange how DrByte managed to login without the login.php

I just renamed my folder and the three lines of code within configure.php (the one from admin/includes).

When I go to my new Admin login page, put in my name and password I get

http://topnotchbassbaits.com/store/"my-new-admin-name"/login.php

I have checked the coding over 10 times and it looks correct.

I takes me to the correct login screen but then gets lost.

Any ideas?

Let me restate that:

When I hit enter after entering User name and Password it takes me to

http://topnotchbassbaits.com/store/admin/login.php

I have renamed the folder and the three places in the file.

If I put them back to admin they work.

Thanks anyway, I finally got it working. Not sure how but I re-dir it about 8 times and this time I got it right!
