Quantity Box and Refresh button not working

Hi all, I must admit that it's the first time in several months I have posted a question as I usually find the solution in the forums especially just by a google search. But this time I really am stumped.

The quantity box doesn't seem to work. I can increase the quantity only by clicking 'add to cart' thereby adding 1 extra.

However, as you know I should be able to type a quantity into the box and click either of the refresh buttons to have it update the quantity.

So you know, I've found information about removing one or other of the refresh button, done this to remove one or other but it doesn't change the update quantity box.

help please, very much appreciated!!

Hi Stevesh, thanks for reply. nice idea about the template to see what happens. still get the same problem though. the refresh buttons, yes that's how it came as standard - to have both. Ive played with it and have removed one or other but put it back to standard until i get the update button working properly.

any ideas where to head next?

I'm not seeing the refresh buttons in the cart at all anymore. I have noticed that if I add items to the cart from the product info page, if I use the upper Add to Cart box, it only adds 1 despite what number I enter in the box. The lower one works OK. Might be a clue. Still sounds like a template thing to me.

i did remove the refresh buttons from next to the items in the cart and left the lower refresh button. YOU HAVE MADE A VERY VALID OBSERVATION...the lower cart box. I see what you mean, i hadn't tested that. i added that because most of my product pages are so lengthly i didn't want people to be forced to scroll to the bottom of the page.

thanks for your help, ive cracked it at last. i found this page http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85336

and following that to the letter fixed it. I'd put in an extra piece of code as per the recommendation of a thread yesterday or early today without realising the consequence and then forgetting id put it there. winmerge highlighted it for nicely.
