Unsubscribe newsletter not working

I am running Zen v1.3.8 and have the Newsletter Unsubscribe feature turned to "true". When I try to unsubscribe it takes me to the "We're sorry....." I then click the unsubscribe button at the lower right and it takes me to the screen with the checkbox. This box is unchecked (even though the account is subscribe). I click the box to add the checkmark, click update, but it does not unsubscribe the account.

Could someone please shed some light on this, and what I can do to fix this?

Are you using any SEO mods? Check the email in the URL isn't the same email you want to unsubscribe?

Thanks for your reply! No, I have no SEO mods installed.

The URL when I click the Unsubscribe link takes me to the correct URL, and when I click the link from the "We're sorry....."page the URL is index.php?main_page=account_newsletters
Is this correct?

I see also that the text on the "checkbox" screen is :MY_NEWSLETTERS_GENERAL_NEWSLETTER_DESCRIPTION

When I click the box to unsubscribe and click update, it does not take me back to the "My Account" page and show that it has been updated. Have I missed a setup of this feature somewhere?

I thought the link should have unsubscribe in it along with the actual email.

I don't believe so, as I have checked another shop that has a ZenCart and the URL's seem the same. Any other ideas?

Thanks Cool Parts, for your help.

I have solved the problem, where in the Account_Newsletters folder the header and Jscript folders were somehow not working correctly. I re-installed these 2 files and it now displays and works correctly.
