Pages too wide in IE

In FF, all page widths are appropriate, but in IE, they are too wide. What/where is the file where I can fix this for IE without disturbing pages in FF?

LOL, my question is ether too easy or too hard. I've been trying everything I know to fix it without luck. I'll keep trying. In the meantime, but if anyone has any idea what is needed to fix this, please help.

Thanks

Ok, you can edit the file in your Stylesheet of your template.

Re: Pages too wide in IE

I recommend that you first fix your validation errors, at least one of which looks as though it's a structural problem that has the potential to cause your issue.

You can see your validation errors with explanation at your site's page on the W3C markup validation service.

If the problem still exists after you've dealt with the reported errors and are therefore using valid markup, then post back here.

OK, i did it and even installed the W3 validation icon on the bottom of my site.
I'm still having the problem with all pages being too wide using IE while they're fine in FF.

Re: Pages too wide in IE

You have .centerColumn set to a width of 80px. Fix that, then we can take another look.

Re: Pages too wide in IE

The table you put the Guarantee seals in is set to a width of 620px, which is pushing the whole center column out.

Re: Pages too wide in IE

If by "pages too wide" you're referring to the center column overflowing the border in IE, then that's happening because you've told them too by specifying a wider width (620px) for IE in your ie_stylesheet than you have for other browsers (570px) in your main stylesheet.

If that's not the problem to which you're referring, could you be mroe specific about what you mean by "pages too wide".

Re: Pages too wide in IE

I hate you! jk. That was too easy. I looked at that .01 part of the time, but thought that would be too simple. How dumb can one person be. But upshot is, you and Steve made me learn a few other things while in my misery.

Thank you...

Yeah. I thought it sounded a bit pretentious, even when I was writing it. True, though.
