Email Error: Could not instantiate mail function

Email Error: Could not instantiate mail function

HELP! What does this email error mean?

I sent out a newsletter today and part way through I got this error. Now I'm not getting any messages. I've gotten two orders (knew it because Paypal sent me an email) but ZenCart isn't generating any confirmations. I tried placing a test order and when I hit the Submit order button this error showed up and nothing else.

Re: Email Error: Could not instantiate mail function

Thank you for sending the links.

Is there a list of error messages somewhere? Through reading and contacting my hosting provider, I believe this particular error is because I've reached my limit for emails for the day. I can't test this until tomorrow when my email count goes back to zero.
Again, thank you for responding.

Email Error: Could not instantiate mail function

HELP! What does this email error mean?

It literally means exactly what it says: when it attempted to instantiate a connection to the email server to send an email, it was unable to do so.

It could be caused by many things, including server limits/thresholds, incorrect server address, invalid email addresses, or other failures.
