    Default Meta Tags

    I cannot get the override system to work for the meta_tags.php file.
    I have changed the file and put it in includes\languages\english\YOUR-TEMPLATE\meta_tags.php and I have the custom template turned on in Admin. However whenever I do this the site just goes blank and nothing displays. As soon as I remove this directory and file the site displays again OK.

    Obviously I am doing something wrong but I just can't work out what - can anyone help me?

    Probably either blank lines or characters at the end of the file (common, if other than a text editor was used to edit it), or unescaped special characters. If you use, for example, an apostrophe, you need to place a backslash in front of it:
