    Default File Permission Problems?

I'm trying to install Pay-Pal Express.
Also trying to make changes to Email Options.

Nothing takes and throws me back to the admin panel.

Is this a file Permission Problem?
Which file permissions should be set to what?
Almost everything is set to 644 or 744...
    Thanks!

All folders should be readable & all files excecutable
This is fully dependant upon your server configuration
744 is not a normal setting that I have seen
Check with your host for the correct allowed permissions
Many use 755 for folders and 644 for files

Also, installing the admin security patch to the wrong place (that is, to the cart folders rather than the admin folders) can cause that problem.
