    Default How to accomplish this with attributes?

    [FONT=Times New Roman]I am helping a fellow zener to accomplish the following:[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]I am wondering if there is a magic way of doing this with attributes.[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman][/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]I want to have the customers to be able to build their shelving unit online and order it,[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman][/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]The shelf consist of the following attributes:[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]Height: 36, 54 and 72 inches[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]shelves count: 2,3,4 and 5 (note: if the shelf height is 36 they can add 2 or 3 shelving)[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]size of shelves: 14 X 36, 18 X 36, etc.[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]Wheels Size: 3 or 4 inches[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]Wheels Count (sets of 4): based on the number of units they are buying and want to have wheels for.[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman][/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman]This will get me started and i can think about accessories when don with this.[/FONT]
    [FONT=Times New Roman][/FONT]

    You should be able to do that with attributes, maybe with the help of this:\:

    but the quoted part above suggests 'dependent attributes' where the option of some attributes depends on the selection of another, and you can't do that in Zencart now.

    Thanks Stevesh,

    I looked at those add-on, I am not concerned with the stock status since if any component is out of stock then the whole thing should be out of stock. Thanks for the reply.

    what i want to accomplish is to have the customer select the
    1)number of Complete units
    2)size of shelf (depth and width we have 6 sizes available)
    3)number of shelf on each unit ordered
    2)wheels (size and quantity), for example if they order 3 units they can ask for one unit with wheels or 2 or 3 or none.
