Is it possible to have additional product statuses other than just 1 or 0 (on/off)? The reason I am asking is because I would like some products to be able to be pre-ordered (which would have a theoretical status of 2), others to be back-orderable (a status of 3), and so forth.

Why don't I do it with product types you might ask? Because then I would be creating multiple copies of the same products which would be silly/dumb.
