Duplicate Posting

I'm seeing orders duplicate orders. Both show "paid" through PayPal but both have the same transaction ID. Any ideas?

No insight here, but I just experienced the same thing. Good tip on checking the transaction ID, that gives me confidence that I should just cancel one of the orders and not worry the customer about it.

If you're getting duplicates, then blank-out your PDT key in your PayPal IPN module.

Or better yet, click "Remove" on the IPN module and switch to Express Checkout instead. It's much more contemporary and not prone to the duplication problems of IPN.

so there is still no fix for this? or ideas about this?
blanking the PDT key doesnt help the issue. and changing to express checkout just opens up a whole new set of problems.

A significant number of improvements have been made to PayPal functionality in v1.3.9.
I'd be interested in hearing your feedback on this issue when using that version.
