Search Feature having issues

I have uploaded 3 test products to my site and was trying to use the search feature for the Item number. An example of one of my item#s is "CP-3002" . when I search for this I get no results. If I just put in "3002" it will find it. I have over 1000 Products I am going to need to upload all of which have a "-" in them. How can I make it so the search will find my products. The search is a very commonly used feature on my current site.

Problem Fixed! thank you for the link. In the thread you posted is another link to this thread http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=143258 which had my fix. Very easy instructions to follow, but I would have never figured this one out by myself. Thanks again
