Issue Deleting Text in Header area

I made a custom background that includes my logo in the JPG. Now I want to turn off the default text in the header.

I have read up and tried different things. I was able to remove the tagline, but not the main Title.

I want to get rid of the text "Radiant Sol" on the header over the Radiant Sol logo.

Also, I started with a stock zen cart template "Orange." On the main page, the Products names do not show up unless you mouse over them. They are set to white. Anyone know what those tags are? I guess I can change it in the stylesheet.css?

Any other comments on the shopping cart layout? My partner thinks something 2 columns will look better, less cluttered and more professional. Any other template or layout suggestions?

1) adding display:none; to #logo in the stylesheet should remove the double text.

2) .centerBoxContentsFeatured a, .centerBoxContentsSpecials a, .centerBoxContentsNew a{ color: #ffffff; font-weight: bold; }

change the red part to the color yiou want it to be.

I probably agree about the two column layout if ypu can get all the sideboxes you need in the left column without extending the page a foot and a half below the screen space.

You can get rid of all the banner sideboxes, Who's Online (nobody cares), Reviews and maybe the More Information box.

Both fixes worked right away after I found the right .css file in the Templates/Orange/CSS folder.

I hope others may find your reply helpful as well, because I did spend quite some time looking and never read that once.


Well I guess I may as well ask the last 4 things that I am trying to figure out in Zen Cart.

We installed Image Handler2 and Slimbox...it works, but doesnt have the arrows for previous and next image or the little slideshow at the bottom.

For somereason it doesnt see the arrow files, and not sure where we should put them or how to get this to work like the other one.

Also, can I change the overlay color in Slimbox? If so where?


My last questions are in regards to layout.

I would like delete some of the stuff in the right column,
and move the remainder to the left column. Is this done only in Configuration > Layout Settings??

How do I delete Currencies, Who is Online, and the top Sponsors spot, and move the others to the left side.

After I do that can I enlarge the "New Products" area to take up that right column?

To delete the stuff in the right column and move the rest to the left column, go to tools, layout boxes controller. That is where you control the sideboxes. That will take care of the currencies, who is online and top sponsors. Just check the appropriate radio button to show the rest in the left column instead of right.

I know the New Products would have to be adjusted in the sideboxes php files but not sure how or if you can even do it. It is my impression that they auto resize with content. Best let someone else guide you on that one.

Turn off your More Information. You have page 2, 3 and 4 showing there with the preloaded content.

Once you've got the sideboxes moved, Admin - Configuration - Layout Settings - Column Right Status-Global to False.

I haven't used Slimbox - as a visitor, I don't like stuff jumping out at me unless I tell it to.
