Looking for Backup Scripts

Hey guys-
I have a virtual dedicated server- and want a free backup script that will backup my MySQL database AND directories/files via ftp server. It'd be cool if it even came with ability to set # of versions, etc. I need this for my entire site, not just the store portion (as well as other sites too).

I don't know much about this stuff- not sure where to look. Can someone suggest a GOOD script for me, and hopefully some instructions on how to install it (if it doesn't come with one).

What is your down link speed where you will FTP this to
And what is the total size?

You might noy have the bandwidth speed to get this accomplished in a timely manner
