I am hoping someone can help me as I am not sure if the multi-site mod is the correct one.

I need to create a store with the following attributes:
  • Multiple Vendors
  • Each order needs to generate an Invoice for all the relevant Vendors
  • All needs to happen in one store front
  • Need a quotation which can later be converted to a purchase order payment module, so basically a two step checkout system


This is the process, the store will have products connected to a manufacturer/vendor. A client will log onto the site select there products to purchase. Of the 5 products selected there are 3 different vendors. The client will then be able to semi-complete the sale and receive 3 quotations in order to generate a purchase order for each vendor. Once they have a PO number they can come back to the site and complete their purchase and add teh purchase order number to each quotation and checkout this will then create an invoice for each vendor. Each Vendor will then process their on order and ship the order.

All of this needs to be controlled via one back-end each vendor would then have their own log-in to control their order.

If the Multi-store mod is the way to go and it can handle most of the above scenario please advise what the maximum number of stores are that can be created using this mod?
