Default cannot access blog after admin folder rename

I'm using version 1.3.8a on an Apache server using Linux with access through Cpanel. I was following security recommendations for renaming the admin folder which succeeded without incident. I had installed a WP blog on the server in the blog folder: public_html/blog prior to the full zen installation, and the zen cart installation went into public_html/shop/. After configuring all my products and activating the shopping cart with paypal, and checking that it appeared to be working, I renamed the admin folder and edited the admin/includes/configure.php file to incorporate the folder name change. I was able to login to the admin for the shop but I could not login to the blog at public_html/blog/wp-login.php. So I renamed the admin folder back to admin and I am able to login to the zen admin but still unable to login to the blog. I am able to navigate to the blog- http://example.com/blog but I am unable to login. Instead I get a redirect to index.php?main_page=page_not_found. I have a backup of the home directory done in cpanel prior to the folder rename. I may have edited some other file/s while following security recommendations and? or changed file permissions. I cannot remember exactly at this point. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to recover the login to the blog?

    Sounds like a Blog question????
If you have not touched the blog files/folders while securing your cart, or maybe accidently mussed the permissions???
Difficult to troubleshoot one without a link to the site in question and also due to this being a admin issue where you can not and should not post any of your access

Editing ZenCart files in a folder should not have any affect upon any other script in any other folder

Thanks for your consideration here. What more info would you need to trouble shoot?

probably need the url: http://transfer - factor - 4life.com. Maybe there is a quick work around. I tried renaming the root (public-html) .htaccess file and navigating to the /blog/wp-login.php folder and got a 500 error (I think that was what it was,not 100%sure), changed it back and still redirected to zen main page. (index.php?main_page=page_not_found ); "includes/configure.php" is the only file with 444 permissions. The rest have either 644 or755. I could reinstall the blog easily since there is nothing on the blog as yet. But I need to solve why I am getting redirected for the wp-login file

My issue is similar, but somewhat different. After renaming admin folder and editing the config files, I am able to login to the admin area with my new renamed folder, but I am not able to view any of the pages from the drop down menu. Can someone give me a clue on what I need to do?

    Thank you
