    red flag Not getting email notifications

    I'm using zencart 1.3.8a. Everything is working great except for the way in which Paypal is notifying me of a successful transaction. I'm not receiving any emails. What's really bizarre is that from time to time, I'll get an email, yet I don't know how that could be happening since my email address isn't documented anywhere that I know of, as far as the configuration of my cart is concerned.

    I will get an email from Paypal when the virtual terminal is used, but not when Zencart is used. Is there a setting that I'm missing that I need to change? Any help would be most appreciated.

    You're not using GoDaddy as your hosting by any chance are you?

    We are hosted by godaddy. What do I need to be sensitive to as far as that is concerned?

    Can you send emails from within Zen Cart Admin? And also, what about customer orders/noticications of sign up etc? Are they working?

    As recommended on many of the support threads, I tried entering one of the 'real' email addresses that was set up and zilch.

    The solution? I simply entered [email protected] as the 'from' email address in email settings and it all started workin just fine with the default settings.

    It's not a perfect solution by any means, but at least now the confirmation order emails and welcome emails are going out.

    I have to say GoDaddy are less than helpful in trying to get any support out of them, hopefully this will help others to get their GoDaddy hosted Zen Cart emails to work (though I would highly recommended you to look for another hosting plan )

    I'll report back here if for any reason it stops working, but so far all well and good
    I can't guarantee that will work, and if it does for how long, but it's worth a try. I'd be tempted to simply change hosting, you can search for yourself on here the inordinate number of problems people have using GoDaddy

    So, what I need to do then, is to change the email address that I have in zencart from mcgeepublishing###################### to [email protected]?

    That's what worked for the site I was doing it on, yes. I can't promise anything, but hope it works for you
