can i add multiple attribute with one click?

hi,

i have a vinyl graphics website and on this there are many options of colours, sizes and grades etc.

is it possible to set groups of attributes?
so that when i add attributes to a product i can just select and attribute group and all those attributes will be added to that product?

some of my products will have around 50 attributes and i have around 3000 products to add so doing all this one by one is going to take me years....

Not as such, but you can add a group of attributes to a dummy or prototype product, and then copy them all to one or a whole category of other products in one step.

how would i go about doing this?

adding test products is not a problem as i can just click and disable the test category afterwards...

In admin go to Catalog>Option Value Manager and scroll to the bottom block where it says 'Copy Option Name/Value to Products with existing Option Name ...'

Basically on the right hand side, you choose your 'Source' option name and values AS WELL AS the Product ID# for your dummy product.
Then on the left hand side you enter the Category ID# that you are targeting. You'll need to repeat for every option name and value, but it sure saves a lot of time anyways.

If you will have large groups of attributes that are the same for several products, adding all of them to a prototype or dummy will let you copy them all at once with the "copy to product/category" buttons at the top of the Attribute Controller page.
