Can't update modules after switching to https

Module changing was working fine until owner switched to full-time https://(it was set up first to change to secure in the appropriate areas). When he changed, I had to switch the admin/config file to 'true' for admin and catalog because we couldn't log in.

So now I can't modify the shipping module from admin. When I click update I see this "Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in /home1/oneview1/public_html/admin/modules.php on line 56

The first thing I would do is explain to the site's owner that having the entire site under HTTPS is not only completely unnecessary, but will slow his page loads down, and is currently causing IE to display the secure/non-secure error message on his main page, at least.

Thanks so much, I figured it out before you replied. Yeah, I tried to explain it to him, he still called the host. I just explained it to him. I told him that not everyone uses Firefox like he and I so you still have to think about the IE users.
