Module not working

I apologise in advance for posting in the wrong forum but I am having an issue with the [EDIT]moderator of the shipping forum author of the Ozpost shipping module. I am trying to edit any of the shipping modules. Please see screenshot

Clicking on the edit button takes me nowhere. Is there somewhere where shipping module is disabled? Site is http://www.broomebeads.com.au/index.php?main

Firstly the forum member that you have unwittingly rubbed up the wrong way is not a moderator. He is the author of the Ozpost module, but other than that is a forum member, just like you.

If it provides any re-assurance, although he disparages you for explaining the background research that you have done (which he sees as irrelevant), I applaud you for it and always look more sympathetically upon requests for help from people who are trying to help themselves.

There's not a lot that can be seen from a screenshot for this sort of problem. But there is a little.

What should happen when you click on the edit button is that the edit box to the right should turn into a form into which new values can be entered.

Your screenshot shows that this is not happening, and more the line that normally appears beneath the module listing is absent too. This suggests to me that one of your shipping mods is triggering an unreported fatal error.

The first step would be to double check that OzPost, the only non-code mod in that list has been properly installed (i.e. files in the right places and not corrupt). If that doesn't work, try replacing the other shipping modules and their associated language files with new copies from a fresh download of Zen Cart and see if that helps.

And sorry, but I do need to move this thread back into the shipping section of the forum.

Thanks for your reply and understanding. I have corrected the problem just now by reloading a back up from the day before .. I have my edit areas back now. I went into panic mode AGAIN and was trying for ages to find the problem without even considering the back up file, phew! Still finding zen cart a scary place lol.
