    Default Editing Orders

    Hi..

is there a mod to allow the customer the ability to edit their order after they have gone through the checkout?

In my case, all my customers pay by Invoice only.. strictly B2B not C2B, so i dont have to worry about credit cards ect, but often my customers need things adding to the order after they have placed it. (Annoying sods)

I have Login as Customer (Sid Smith) and Edit Orders (Scott Turner) installed and they work great!! but it would be nice if the customers can change the order... sometimes im not at the PC/phone to do this when they call...

    Cheers
    M

Unfortunately not. Once an order is created, it is pretty much set in stone. You may have noticed with the Edit Orders module that unfortuantely this doesn't always work perfectly with certain modules and Order Total modules, and creates some suprising results.

If you wanted to create this module for your own site, you would need to consider all order totals, coupons, group discounts etc. Which in essence means that the order needs to be built from the database records, editted, and then stored back into the database, correcting the records as it goes.

As with anything in Zen, it is possible. This particular mod would however be a fairly major undertaking.

never mind... i dont know any PHP beyond 'Hello World'. so we'd be on zen cart 3.5 by the time i was savvy enough to create a module!!!

I didnt know there were conflicts with Edit Order! oh no!
Of order totals i only use group pricing for scott willson's Invoice mod, and that seems fine....
Do you know which 3rd party mods conflict?
