Transparent Background help!!!!

Hi,

Does anyone know how do i create a transparent background much like this site: http://osc.template-help.com/zencart_26968/index.php

I already have a background design, but, i would like the content area to be semi transparent just like that site. Anyone knows how to do that???

I would like to make the white main content area, a bit see through, i've been trying for hours with no luck ....

Anyone know how to get the white background a bit transparent so that you can see the stripes a little ?????

there are other more complex (yet more flexible) methods available, but this ones pretty easy to do.

create a 2px by 2px 8bit PNG image, with only 2 of the 4 pixels filled (diagonally) using either white, black or a shade of grey to alter the amount of tranparency.

you can also fiddle with the number of pixels filled for different transparency levels.

then set this image as the background fill for the container that you want semi-transparent, set the background-color css property to "transparent" and you should be laughing...

i think you'll find this is the easiest way. I can send you the 2x2px image if you want, then you just need to specify the background in your css file.

do you need help with the css file as well?

sorry about that, even i found that image hard to download.

here's a zip file with 3 png files, all with different transparency levels.
