Error During Upgrade Attempt

I have everything setup to upgrade and every time I try I get the following error

in:
[select admin_id, admin_name, admin_pass from zen_admin where admin_name = 'my admin name here'] 

'my admin name here' is my actual admin name, I removed it for security purposes.

The screen is entirely blank except for this line of code.

Any help is greatly appreciated. This is all being done after a script kiddie hacked our cart, didn't realize it needed upgraded, lol, duh!

Firstly, you said that you have been hacked, and when this script runs, it errors out. You need to check that you are actually able to connect to your database. Did you change your MySQL passwords when you recovered from the hack? Have you changed your configure files to reflect these updates?

Next, does the zen_admin table exist? Do you use the "zen_" table name prefix?

Finally, the SQL statement you posted here is error free, however, obviously you removed the name for security - very wise! But, are there any special characters in your username, or are they all alpha-numeric?
