Facebook addon problems

I have installed the facebook addon. I have read the readme file and went through all I could find on the subject on this web site but I am still having problems getting this done. I did install the api key. My site: www.maynardstackle.com you can find the facebook header on the lower left side of the site. I have a facebook gif in my image folder. I just do not know what to do next. I know I have to paste some html code in a file but I do not know what file and exactly where it is in zencart. Can someone direct me in the right location. Thank you in advance.

My initial suspision is that you didn't rename the \includes\templates\MY_TEMPLATE folder

I probably did things the hard way but what I did is copy the files and put them in my CUSTOM folder. There was a css and sidebox
folder that I put in the corasponding folders.

You should have uploaded three files:

includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/custom_template/facebook_box.php
includes/modules/sideboxes/custom_template/facebook_box.php
includes/templates/custom_template/sideboxes/tpl_facebook_box.php

and then you would customise includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/custom_template/facebook_box.php - but it doesn't look like you got that fat just yet

And there is also the optional includes/templates/custom_template/css/stylesheet_facebook_box.css file

I did add my name and api key to the facebook_box.php file.
Is there something else I should have done to that file?

Nope.

I just checked on one of my sites and 'deleted' each file in turn and I can't replicate the issue you're having.

Perhaps try uploading the files again? But upload the original facebook_box.php file, and edit it afterwards

That image that you have on your site, do I have to put that in a file somewhere or does that come with the addon?

It comes from the customisation if i remember rightly

CUSTOMIZATION of includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/custom_template/facebook_box.php:

1. to turn facebook stream / facebook logo ON - change INCLUDE_FACEBOOK_STREAM or INCLUDE_FACEBOOK_LOGO to 1, set to off
2. to change width or height edit FACEBOOK_BOX_WIDTH or FACEBOOK_BOX_HEIGHT
3. to set number of fans change INCLUDE_FACEBOOK_FANS, max number is 100

But what you should have at the moment is an image of a section of YOUR facebook page... same like on this site (assuming you are logged in to Facebook that is)

I don't understand why I have my profile image on that site you sent. I sure don't have it on my site. I have no idea where I screwed up at.

Try uploading the files again as I suggested (the none edited ones I mean). I can't think of anything else to try I'm afraid

(the reason you have your image on that site is because Lady Dee whose site it is hasn't entered the API key yet, which is why I suggest to upload a non edited file to test)
