Default AAARRRGGG!!! EZpages edit for header and footer menus

Using fresh install 1.3.8a...I have been all over the forum for the past 2 days looking for answers, so sorry in advance if this has been answered already. I'm also a newbie at this whole EZpages thing.

I have a header menu and a footer menu that was edited/added using EZpages (I'm assuming since most of the template install was uploaded via a .sql "patch"). On my footer, I'd like to remove 1 link and the header, out of 7 links, remove 3 links. I have tried using the Developers Tool Kit as well to look for those links to change them...all without any luck. Please, please, please can anyone help guide me in the correct direction? Can you edit via EZpages? or via myPHPAdmin? or other route?

Thanks in advance for any help/guidance...

OK, so now that I figured it out, and made the changes, I now can't find where to add "text-align: center;" in the css file to make it all center (both for the header and the footer) instead of being on the left. Help?

Not quite sure I follow you, but if you are unfamiliar with HTML, go into Tools > Define Pages Editor and from there select HTML Editor from the drop down menu, now go back to your EZ Pages editing and lo and behold, you have a WYSIWYG interface for editing where you can align the text the same as you would using MS Word for example

    Hey Twaddle,

Sorry I'm unclear. The header and footer menus were a template originally uploaded via FTP and mostly via myPHPadmin (a sql patch). So the header and footer menus were setup via EZpages through the database. What I'd like to do is have them centered in the middle of the footer and header instead of on the left side. So, I believe that is changed via the css file (for both the header and the footer). I do not know where to look in the css file (I sux at the whole css programming thing) to put the "text-align: center;" statement to get them centered. Hope that helps clear up my idiocy

I wish I had something to show you, but its on a personal computer right now while I try to get it to work.

    Thanks!

Where did you get your template? What is its name - we might recognize it and have a clue about the setup.

Since we can't see it live, you need to get Firefox and its Web Developer and Firebug extensions. They are some of our main standard tools for diagnosing and editing websites.

    Hey gjh42,

Thanks for responding. I finally found the template demo site:

    http://osc.template-help.com/free_zen_cart_template/

My site is on a personal computer that I am using as a production "server". So I can't give a link yet. Let me know what you think!

    Thanks again for everyones help!!

I had a hunch that screen-snippet looked like Template Monster. I'm afraid you are largely on your own, as TM commonly makes major changes to many functions and files, and we don't necessarily know what will work for one of their templates.

Since the link actually shows the template live, we may be able to offer CSS help, though not code help.
