    Default Header issues

    I have just noticed that in IE there is a link in the upper left hand corner of my header. There is no image but when clicked on it, it takes you to the home page. It is not there in FF. I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

    That's the logo trying to be displayed. Since you have your logo included in your header, and no logo image defined, you get the image placeholder.

    To get rid of this, go to your stylesheet.css and add:

    #logo {
    display: none;
    }

    That will put a stop to that.

    Thank you so much for the fix.
    Along with the solution you gave me the reason why it was doing what it was doing, To me, it is a great learning tool.

    Ah... HERE's where you were discussing it.

    I'd do it the other way around, nuke the background and use the logo.gif to link to the home page.

    It's no big issue, just something I expect from a site

    Yea, a lot of people DO expect this, but with the Home link right there.....................

    My site doesn't have the logo link either, as I have a Home link right there....................and yes, my Header and Logo IS called separately.

    I'd get rid of the link altogether.

    Hidden links can be frowned on by searchengines.

    They are a negative 'signal of quality'.

    Right where????

    I don't know what the rule is on this, so maybe it's just a personal preference of mine I like the logo to take me back to the start, usually because once I have had a look around a site and want to order something I know I am not in the middle of a category. Granted the home link IS there as you say, but for me it's not enough. Logo link all the time for me
