Currency Question - CAD/USD

Hi,

Now that $1.00 CAD = $1.00 USD +- I have a question about the currencies I'm seeing on my cart.

I've set the default currency to CAD was originally USD.

Does this mean the prices I see in the cart are CAD? Then when I select the USD from the drop down I'm seeing the prices go up?

Is this correct?

Check admin > config > My Store > Currency Conversion Ratio > normally set to 1.05 BUT you can change it

Yes the currency is currently bobbing in both directions or has been for the last few days. One day USD is worth more than Canadian and the next day Canadian is worth more than USD.

If you accept multiple currencies for actual payment...remember for some processors there is a small conversion fee. This is if you are getting your numbers from the gateway log.
