Default CSS, multiple stylesheets for one template

Zen Cart 1.3.8a PHP 5.2.13 MySQL 5.0.51a-24 lenny3 Apache/2.2.15 Template Zt006 Fresh installs as of last week, super clean.

Hi I have a couple of zen cart sites for my business.

I have been developing my sites for a few months and I have them live but hidden as I work on the designs.

I have done extensive CSS work to customize the look of my sites to match the cart "look" of the PHP to the regular HTML pages for my sites. I did the CSS design work using IE 8 which is looking good. But in IE 7 yikes my CSS design is not displaying how I would like it too. So....

I would like to make separate CSS with correcting modifications for each browser version and attach them to my zen cart so that each site visitor, no matter what their system is, will get a perfect display of my sites. But I don't know how to attach more Style Sheets to my template. I can load up the CSS folder in my template with the extra stylesheets but I am trying to learn where to add the code ....so that the browsers can choose the right CSS
    Thanks

I just used the mod Cool referred to and it works great, and saved me a lot of time trying to fiddle things to appease IE6 and 7.

Thanks for getting back to me on this CSS stuff.... I will study up on it.

I haven't done any extra downloads before for my carts. Do I need to worry about that I have cart version 1.3.8a instead of 1.3.8 ?

I am really happy that there are solutions to these cross browser issues.

1.3.8 and 1.3.8a are identical accept one line in one function file that was ignored on first release 1.3.8a is a few minutes newer than 1.3.8. Whenever you see a reference to 1.3.8 that means both 1.3.8 and 1.3.8a. I don't think anybody was fast enough in downloading 1.3.8 when it was released for a couple of hours before it was overridden by 1.3.8a

Just as a side note, I've seen people come to grief over and over again when they've styled their sites in IE first, and then viewed them in other, more standards-based browsers. Best practice is to do your design and style work in Firefox, keeping an eye on how the site looks in IE as you go, then at the end, add the few fixes necessary to make things work in IE.

I'd agree, but I find IE8 to be pretty much as standards-compliant as Firefox.

In my CSS situation firefox and IE8 are pretty darn close in how they display my sites.

But I sure did have a lot of grief with IE because of not knowing how the "compatibility view" button on my PC was effecting my displays. I (hello) didn't realize that I was viewing my sites in 2 different browsers and that that was causing my mis-match CSS problems between my retail and wholesale sites. But one click turning off the compatibility view button got me in the same browser which... was joyous.
