Zen Cart 1.3.5 on php 5.2.11

I hope you can help me. I have a customer running an older Zen Cart 1.3.5 for last three years. Now he got a new domain and is duplicating his shop on a new server.

Is there any way to get Zen Cart 1.3.5 to run on a web server that runs php 5.2.11?

Yes there are patches on this site....
But IMO it is a good time to upgrade to latest stable 1.3.8a

IMO It would be better to wait a week and upgrade to 1.3.9

I guess the customer will upgrade sooner or later, but right now I just want to help him get the shop running on the new server.

Not positive that any are required for 1.3.5....
What errors are you receiving?

I don't quite know what has been done in last couple of hours but right now there is the following error message:

1054 Unknown column 'c.parent_id' in 'on clause'
in:
[SELECT c.categories_id as id, c.parent_id, cd.categories_name as cName, cd2.categories_name as pName FROM zen_categories c, zen_categories_description cd LEFT JOIN zen_categories_description cd2 ON c.parent_id=cd2.categories_id AND cd2.language_id='43' WHERE c.categories_id=cd.categories_id AND cd.language_id='43']

It is normally easy just depends upon the # of 3rd party addons and what they are

That's a MySQL incompatibility. As kobra has said, the simplest solution at this point is to do an upgrade.
