Any text box on my site is turning from white to transparent when it is clicked on. The search box is even doing it. Can someone please tell me how to fix that?

Try removing the "transparent" around line 85 of your stylesheet.

Grab a copy of firefox and install the firebug add-on. It will make fixing problems like this a snap.
A little help with colors.
