Header customization

I have looked until my eyes bled. I am trying to figure out how to align logo.gif to the lright, which I have done, but I want to center it vertically on the right, as well as the text on the left. I am using .8 version. My site is http://greatlakesherbalife.com/ I have the Zen Cart book, and still can't find the answer. Please help!!!!

Try adding some padding-top (30px or so) to #logo and #tagline in the stylesheet.

That worked! Thanks... I was noticing in the stylesheet....
Sometimes it will say border: 1px; and sometimes it says border: 0.5em What is the 0.5 em?

The 1px is an absolute value. The em refers to a value relative to the parent object, if any. Google 'css em' for a lot of information about which to use when. For font-size, I almost always use em.
