Cant remove main page categories help

hello,

I have tried numerous times, to remove the categories from my main page, config-layout setting-categores show on main page. This does not work at all. Is there any other way eg. via cpanel to remove categories from my main page alone???

Well in firefox it looks great, are you using IE browser, must be a cache problem...

Yes i realized that in firefox it looks good, but in IE, things are way off, for eg. its not centered which i'm trying to fix, I cant seem to get the categories off of the main page at all, any ideas???

Well in IE, there is no category images on the home page either,
close your browser completely and boot back up again..

The entire site is left aligned, which i think i can fix, i just dont know how to remove the categories from the main page ... i tried turning it off in configuration and it doesnt work ...

Looks like you fixed the page alignment, but the home page center column is now completely blank. Is that intentional?

I also see "Powered by TheModelDiva Designed by TheModelDiva".
"Designed by" is fine since you have customized the design, but "powered by" is a claim that you wrote the software that runs the site, which I'm sure you didn't intend.

Yes will change the "powered by" didnt realize that, I still cant seem to remove the categories from the main page, any ideas???
