Change log Version 1.3.9

I have a quick question regarding upgrading from 1.3.8a, modified only with released patches and using only template over rides.

In DOCS, in the change log Version 1.3.9 under heading:

Changed Files (since release of v1.3.8)

Are the files in this list the only files that need to be compared and merged?

This is the way I'm understanding it and just asking for confirmation.

In case you have made changes to 1.3.8a core files (which should not be done ....) you will need to incorporate these changes as well. Best to use the override system.

I read that you did an upgrade without any problems. I'm getting ready to tackle my own stores and your success gives me more confidence.
