Suddenly can no longer accept new customers-COWOA

When a new customer tries to create an account the following error message is displayed ....

1054 Unknown column 'COWOA_account' in 'where clause'
in:
[select count(*) as total from zen_customers where customers_email_address = 'xxxxxxxxxxx' and COWOA_account != 1]


This is a store that has been live for 2 years and I'm at a loss trying to figure out what is happening

Since I originally posted this in general questions and it has been moved to contributions is this a clue to the issue ????

Yes. Zen Cart doesn't have a COWOA_account column in any of its tables, so this problem must be related in some way to the the COWOA mod.

Hmmm - checkout without account seems to be what this stands for. Don't remember ever trying to install this. Will have a look into it.

I believe that it's sometimes integrated into other mods such as Fast and Easy Checkout (aka FEC)

Thanks again for that. I had tried installing the FEC a few weeks ago but had issues with it. We have had customers register since then so I'm lost as to why it suddenly sat down.

I threw up a backup of the site from before this and the problem appears resolved. Thank you.
