Default Display highest price product listing

Hello - I'm using version 1.3.9h and it has not been upgraded.

I have only a few products, and the products will have it's original price, and a trial size price. In order to accomplish this multi-pricing, I've used attributes for the "size", or quantity of the product.

The original price of most products is around $25.
We also offer a trial size for all products, which is $4.95.

What I'm running into is that on the products listing page, all products are showing as $4.95, which is misleading to the customer. I understand that by default the lowest price is shown, but I'd like to be able to configure it so the highest price is shown.

I think it should be a function call, where it is getting the lowest price, but have not found it yet. Please let me know if anyone has run into this and if you can point me to the right file to modify.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Wow you guys are good. All I needed to do was post the question and then I figured it out. If anyone else needs the solution, you'll need to edit the includes => functions => functions_prices.php file.

Look at line 124 for the product_att_query

at the end of the line, after value, add a space and "desc", without the quotes, and it will work. I'd recommend also removing the Starting At text under the Product Type layout.

NOTE: If you are using Priced by Attribute ... you could turn off the Include in Base Price on the Attributes that you do not want in the Product Price on a Product by Product Attribute by Attribute basis ...
