My scr_template will not change!

Ok I have the lavender template. I changed the top portion to put my business name and logos. I then uploaded to replace the original (the one that says lavender template) but it will not change on my website!
I have looked everywhere (at least gave it my best shot for my poor tired eyes) on the tutorials but cannot find how to fix this.
Please help!

Ok, I kind of found an answer, but still am not satisfied with results.

I need to know how to make the images on both sides of "Soft Scents" further apart (like actually on the sides of the top) so I can make the logo bigger.
Like this:

Since the image is 1002px in width, that's how it will appear, depending on the viewer's monitor resolution.

There is a sort of kludge you can use to make the logo resize (Google 'sliding-door image').

A better way, I think, would be to place the two outside images in the header background image and the logo in the middle of that.

How do I do that? If there are some instructions how to do that on the tutorial/faq please give me the link. Otherwise I would really need a step by step since I am not familiar with programming.

Break your logo image into three pieces. Make the "sweet rocks" graphic the background for #logoWrapper, the photo the background for #logo, and the actual logo image as your official logo defined in /includes/languages/english/your_template/header.php.

Add to your stylesheet:

#logo {background: url(../images/powderphoto.jpg) no-repeat right center; text-align: center;}
