Use zen cart for affiliate products?

Is there a way to use zen cart to promote affiliate products instead of regular products?

I am part of an affiliate product network that gives me links and pictures to certain products. Instead of having a "add to cart" button, i would like to copy the description from the affiliate network and then have the add to cart button link to the affiliate site instead of adding it to the shopping cart.

Any suggestions?

If I understand the question, you can turn off the Add to Cart function (by product type) in Admin - Catalog - Product Types, and add a link to the other site when you set up the product in the Products URL field that will display on the product info page.
