Default Problem with Customer payment by Paypal.

    Hello everyone.

I have a question about my site using Paypal express and having problem with it.

Please excuse my low knowledge on this :) I tried to ask my I.T. guy who set this up, but he said he doesnt see the problem with it.. and when I call Paypal, they said it is a bug in Zencart. So I am not sure what is going on here.

    Here is the story:

I have many customers who are having their address as International address ; either on their bill to or ship to address. but they came to me saying paypal sent them a message saying "please use another payment method " without telling them a reason.

Does anyone have the same problem before and tell me what I can do to fix this?

    Thank you very much :)

Can you get those customers to give you a screen-shot of the actual messages seen?

    What addresses are they using?

Can you replicate the problem yourself?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

This is what one of the customer says. (I remove some of the information for their privacy. )

    ***********************************
    Step 2 of 3 - Payment Information
10750 Invalid Data - There's an error with this transaction. Please enter a valid state in the shipping address.
    Billing Address:
    Person Name
    Street Address
    Town, 1060032
    Tokyo, Japan

Your billing address is shown to the left. The billing address should match the address on your credit card statement. You can change the billing address by clicking the Change Address button
    **********************************

Basically, the customer entered everything matches her record, but paypal saying it is not matching up.

Also, I always seem to have this message below from Paypal.

    **********************************
10417 Transaction cannot complete. - The transaction cannot complete successfully. Instruct the customer to use an alternative payment method.
    ***********************************

Every time this happens, my customer usually follow an email saying they are having problem paying with paypal in our site while they have a confirmed paypal account. Then, I have to send them an invoice every time via paypal manually to complete the transaction... which defeat the whole purpose of having a cart software to complete my transaction.

    My Zen cart is 1.3.8a

Thank you very much in advance for any help I can get :)

A number of address-handling improvements were made in Zen Cart v1.3.9
Upgrading may resolve the problem for you.
