Change attributes by attribute

Hi Folks

Firstly thanks for the excellent support that this site offers, I have searched google and the site and I can't find what I'm looking for. Please accept my apologies if this question has already been answered.

I am using Zen Cart for a apparel business, I'm looking to change the attributes depending on what selection is made in another attribute box. So for example the items come in a variety of fabrics and colours but not all fabrics come in every colour and not all colours are available in every fabric.

Ideally a user could select either attribute and the sister attribute box would populate accordingly. Is this possible?

Search on "dependent attributes" and you will see how many people have asked about this:) Unfortunately, there is not a mod or function for this readily available. You would probably have to code something that fits your particular circumstances.

Stock by Attributes will allow the inventory/purchasing function you need, but it doesn't update the product info display.
