Hi, I'm using version 1.3.8a and am VERY new. Slowly working my way through things but haven't been able to find any way to edit the image ALT text. Right now, it's the same as the image name and I would like to make it a bit more descriptive. Can anyone help me?

There is no built-in facility for that at the present time.
