How to change bullet point color?

I want to change the color of the bullet points on my site. Particularly the ones I have added in to my product description via a text editor (btw I'm NOT talking about the product details list). Is this possible via CSS? Will this change be site wide?

You apparently added the bullets as html markup, you just need to add additional markup for color
