    Default Should I upgrade now?

Is it fine to wait out just a little longer? My template is heavily customized from a customized template, and I have many add ons mods loaded too. I spent 2 days comparing the files, it's a hell lot of changes!

The thing here is that most add ons are not compatible to 1.39a yet, so they might not work eventually.

You haven't actually told us what version of Zen Cart you are using currently and what patches you have installed, making it impossible to gauge the urgency with which you should upgrade. Seems unlikely that a few days will make a huge difference though.

Have you tested this against the specific set that you are using or are you speculating. Most add ons are compatible with 1.3.9a.

I am using 1.38a and applied the latest security patch.

As I had many add ons such as newsletter only, captcha, xsell advanced etc, so some pages are very affected like createaccount.php, customers.php, now when I match the page from 1.39a to what I have, they could look rather different.

I have just installed 1.39a to test directory with the merged files, but it's coming back in blank page for index.php for admin and public.

I have created a new database as per the upgrade guide, but I don't know how to load the old database into this new database. Sheesh... I am stressed!

With regards to the database for your test site one of the easiest things to do is to first create a new database using phpmyadmin and then import your old database (structure and data) into this and edit your configure files to reflect the new name. Run zc_install and select the upgrade database option.

I am very pleased -"very pleased" is actually an understatement!!!- to say that I think [sob sob with happy tears] I have somewhat succeeded in upgrading the cart to 1.39a!!!!

Some small kinks to iron out, but everything looks great now.

Thank you for replying to this thread.
