Table Rate Module

Hello again
In zc 1.3.8a I would like to charge my customers shipping based on the weight (combined or single items) and the distance the parcel will go within Canada. This is so I can calculate prices close to what Canada Post will charge me. I will worry about the USA later. Is this possible with the Table Rate method? Or do only have a single variable in that module?If it is workable, what steps are necessary to make this work?

Let's try another query. Can zen cart add the weight of two products in one order? Is there an FAQ that explains the choices in shipping modules?

There is a module in the Free Add Ons (shipping section) called ZONE-TABLES. which is a clever marriage between ZONE and TABLE module.

This allows you to use TABLE RATES in a MULTIPLE ZONE SETTING.

But beware... The module is good at what it does, but you MUST set up all your ZONES and ZONE DEFINITIONS before you install and configure it. (Including USA zones - even though you will not be using them right now.)

And yes; Zencart does add up the total weight of products in the cart, before it applies any shipping calculations based on weight.
