    Default Salemake End Date

    Just a quick verification:

Am I correct that the end date of a sale in SaleMaker sets the first day (starting at 12:00am) that the sale is NOT active rather than the last day that it IS active (until 11:59 of that day)?

Put another way, if I add an end date of 5/1/2010 for a sale, will the sale still be in effect on the morning of 5/1/2010. My assumption is "no". Can anyone verify this?

    If you set the
    Start Date 04/30/2010
    End Date 05/01/2010

This means that at Midnight on April 30, 2010 the Sale will start ... and at Midnight on May 1, 2010 the Sale will end ...

That means that this is a 24 hour sale ...

The times are based on Midnight ...

So a Sale that has an end date of 05/01/2010 ends at midnight and will NOT be active in the morning of 05/01/2010 ...

    Just to be 100% sure:
If I set a sale to start on 1/2/11 and end on 5/2/11, it starts at midnight on the 1/2, ie at the beginning of 2/2, and ends at midnight on 5/2, ie at the beginning of 6/2?

Sorry to be dim, but I need to get it right....

    Thanks,

    Sean

It is 11:59:59 PM on February 4th, 2011 ... in 1 minute it will be midnight, February 5th, 2011 ...

So a Sale ending 2-5-2011 will end at Midnight February 5th ... meaning it is not available on February 5th as it has ended at midnight, the start of the day ...

Start of the day. Of course. Because midnight is 00:00.

    Thank you,

    Sean

Yes that can confusing as midnight can be
    "start of day"
    or "end of day"

In 24-hour time notation, "00:00" and "00:00:00" refer to midnight at the start of a given date. Some styles, such as ISO 8601, allow 24:00 to refer to the end of a day
