question about local network access to admin area from other computers

How do I set up local network access to my admin area?

At the moment I've set my admin area to localhost but I would like to set it to my local network address (let's say 192.168.4.4) to allow admin access to another computer on the lan (192.168.4.5).

If I set my http_server & https_server (I've tried setting my http&https_catalog_server to localhost, 192.168.4.4 & www.domain.name too) to the local network address I can't log in to my admin area at all, it produces a security error, even on the hosting computer.

I've tried to find a way to make this work but I can't find a solution, and unfortunately i'm not a php-hero (yet).
If anyone knows how to set this up, your help would be very much appreciated.
