    Default Pay by Installments

Does anyone know if there's a mod that allows a customer to open an account, add some things to their cart, then pay up in monthly installments?

There's this, if you process credit cards manually:

    I haven't used it.

Yeah, I installed that on silkblooms.co.uk but it doesn't appear as a payment option on Checkout. I assume it needs to run along side a credit card payment module?

It's an interesting mod if it could be integrated into the stores existing payment option modules, but it doesn't integrate well.

The payment method isn't something that really bothers me though. I'm sure we could agree with the customer that they pay monthly via PayPal. We could even set up a PayPal agreement manually with each customer. What I guess I really need is a way to create a 'outstanding balance' and associate it with the customer. Sort of like the opposite of the gift certificates so the customers balance is in the red until all payments are complete.

The customer would need to have ability to log in and view their outstanding balance.

    Hope that makes sense?

If it doesn't show up at checkout you have one of two problems:

    a) Your site doesn't have SSL at checkout.
    b) You have not installed the module under admin->modules->payment and configured the split credit card email address.

Site does have SSL and I did install via admin. I also ensured a valid email address was inserted in the Split Credit Card Email Address. I inserted '[email protected]'....... is this the correct format, or should it be 'mailto:[email protected]' ?

Otherwise, no idea why it doesn't show at checkout.
