quantity vs attributes

Hi, looking for a little help.

I have a childrens clothing store. Products are arranged within a size category, and each product is assigned the sizes within that category.
ie girl sizes 000 - 2.

I've added a quantity manager attribute for products to try and make adding sizes easier but the trouble is it does not distinguish between sizes. If there are 2 products each available for sizes 0 and 1, but none for size 2 (all within the same category) it still allows me to add 4 products each to cart, a total of 12 products.

Is there anyone who understands what I mean and can help?

Hey Ricky,

Could you post a bulleted list of the attribute configuration you are looking for? For example:

• Size S
  
  • Red
  • Blue
• Size M
  
  • Black
  • Yellow
