Zen Cart 1.3.7
Patch: 1::
Database Patch Level: 1.3.7

PHP Version 5.2.12
MySQL 5.0.90-community

hasn't been touched in a few years, been working fine all that time

Suddenly I can't seem to add manufacturers or categories, i can however add products

I had a quick read of this thread

I downloaded the stock 1.3.7 full file zip thing
and i did a winmerge compare on the stock 1.3.7 html output and they are identical

Nothing has been changed on this site for a while, the html_output file is set to 644

I am utterly stumped as to what might be causing this, so any help is appreciated
