Default adding products without the configuration warning

In order to add new listings to the cart I know I need to change the permissions , which gives the configuration file warning at the top of the page. I will need to add stuff to my site 4 or 5 days a week and having that warning at the top of the page ( plus the fact of not being safe ) wont work.

Is there an easy way to get around this? while staying safe? or will I be better off just using ebay for the one of a kind items that would need separate listings ?

Why do you think you need to change the permissions in order to add items via the Admin?

Well from your answer I can tell my thoughts are traveling in the wrong direction

Just so you know where I am , I have practiced with a fantastico version a little and am ready to get serious on the real store and wanted to install it from scratch ( from what I gather reading here thats the way to do it )

I was thinking that I had read to tighten the file permissions after I finished building the store and I would need to change permissions back to 777 to add new store content ?
