Blank Page After create account submit

Just to be clear, this is a blank page after hitting the submit button to create an account. It started happening after the site owner tried installing the add on http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=186 (How were you referred to us?).

First I went through and checked all the files that would have been affected to be sure there weren't any spaces at the end. I could have missed something though.

Then I installed the debug tool and this is what I got:

[09-May-2010 21:39:04] PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in .../phonesforloan.com/includes/classes/db/mysql/query_factory.php on line 168

I looked at this file and I'm by no means a db kind of guy so I'm not sure what it means. Can anybody point me in the right direction here?

Something you've got your site doing during the create-account process is taking too long to complete, which is thus causing the "Maximum execution time" error message.

Is there any way to track down what's causing this? The only update was the "how were you referred" add on.

First and fastest would be to undo whatever you did just before the problem started.

Then install it on a test copy of your site and get it working the way you need it before putting it on your live website.

Thanks DrByte. For SQL installs, if the developer doesn't have an uninstall file, what is the best way to go about that?

Well, it's fixed now. I downloaded all the updated core files for ZenCart and replaced the files the Add On over wrote orginally. I didn't install this AddOn in the first place so I made some assumptions and learned it's easier to just go over it all with your own eyes.

I'm working on getting a test site up and running to test this add on again.
