Customer/Order/Product/Category Import

After making a jump from 1.2.7 to 1.3.9 the world as this shopping cart knows it has ended. Templating was incompatible, SQL patches had conflicts galore, winmerge on the stylesheets basically recommended I replace the whole thing. SO! That is what I am going to do. I have a clean install of 1.3.9 and I want to carry over the necessary data Customers, Orders, Products & Categories. So my question is has anybody written an import/export script that will do such a thing or can someone tell me just which tables need to be carried over and I can do it with a mysqldump?

me also from 1.3.7 to 1.3.9b as since upgradeing on a non live site i have had numerious sales and more products added by members of staff

Let's say I want to go from some old version to v1.3.9b ...

This is based on I need to rebuild my site but don't want to lose my data ...

I make a working directory such as:
/v139b

I FTP all the files from a clean Zen Cart v1.3.9b download to my new directory ...

I make a new database with a new username and password such as: v139b

I load a copy of my LIVE site database to my NEW database ...

I copy my configure.php files from my LIVE site to my NEW site directories and fix the paths and database, username and password ...

Then, I run the /zc_install ... and UPGRADE my database ...

If there are multiple checkboxes checked, I uncheck all boxes except for the first box that the installer marked as checked ...

Run that update ...

Recheck the database ...

and keep doing this until no more checkboxes are checked by running each update 1 by 1 ...

In theory, once done, the NEW site will run with Classic Template ...

Then, go to each of the module sections for Payment, Shipping and Order Total ... and write down/copy the settings to NotePad and do a REMOVE, INSTALL and reconfigure ...

This will make all of the modules updated and current in the database ...

Now go rebuild everything for your template ...

NOTE: be sure to note changes to the database as later, when all is done with the NEW site, you will want to be able to backup your LIVE site, empty the database on the NEW site, reload the LIVE site database to the NEW database and run the Installer to Upgrade it so that you have a current NEW database ...

Again, you would repeat any steps needed to do the Upgrade process to the database ...

but what about if..... i have a live site and new site...

the new site has new mods not on the live site and the live site has new customers and products hourly??

how can i ... put live into maintenance mode for an hour... then import just the custoerms order and profucts from old into the new site.... nothing else
